Is it possible to get ANYWHERE without really trying?
That subject sounds like a promise from a bad infomercial, doesn’t it? It may have even turned you off a bit. How is it possible to get anywhere in life without really trying?
Let me explain.
If anything at all feels like WORK, your mindset needs to be adjusted.
Most of us choose the industry that we are working in because we are COMPELLED to it. It brings us significant joy and excitement to imagine ourselves performing and playing in a creative realm. It should fuel you and your ambitions.
In other words, if you truly are in alignment, no part of what you are doing should feel like actual WORK. Every effort SHOULD feel effortless.
Right?!
If the hard work that you have committed yourself to in your career doesn’t feel JOYFUL, but instead– like an annoying chore— that is a strong indication that a major mindset shift is in order. This is because your mental health is out of shape.
How to Get into Tiptop Mental Shape
Train yourself to BELIEVE.
That’s right.
Without belief you will not find the kind of success that will land you squarely on a television or film set, where you belong. This can be one of the toughest things for actors to do. It requires letting go of some pretty limiting patterns that may FEEL comfortable and familiar, but they are only preventing you from bringing you honest-to-goodness results.
If you don’t believe that you truly have something incredible to offer the industry you are working to break into… well, then guess what?
No acting training or audition technique course is going to make a difference for you right now.
